Who We Are
About us
My Birthday Too was created in April 2019 by Lauren Repnyek and Christine Gonenc. The two met more than 15 years ago when their sons were in the same class and they became friends while volunteering at school. Through the years, Lauren and Christine became aware of the needs of school children in Wake County, particularly those experiencing homelessness. A desire to help these children and their love for throwing birthday parties for their own children led to the creation of My Birthday Too.
Our Mission
Every child deserves a happy birthday memory!
My Birthday Too strives to bring happiness to children experiencing difficult times by providing birthday parties. Children are invited to attend monthly birthday parties that feature theme decorations, games, crafts, yummy snacks and party favors. Every birthday child will blow out candles on a cupcake as guests sing Happy Birthday to them.
My Birthday Too is a volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization in Wake County, NC. Donations and volunteer participation will drive the success of this organization. We invite you to get involved in our mission to give children in need a very Happy Birthday!
